Information Technology Advisory and Support Service (ITASS)

ITASS and ATOMWIDE are pleased to announce the launch of PASSWORD VAULT.

The USO Passwrd Vault is a secure application that allows you to store all the different logins and passwords that are used for various different systems all in one place. The passwords are held securely and are accessible by entering your normal USO login and password.

Access to the password vault is https://support.atomwide.com and available under the option - MY ACCOUNT.

The cost of this service is free and use is not compulsory - however with the data security becoming increasing high on the agenda, and with more and more applications requiring usernames and passwords that are chargeable for users who forget them and need them reset! We ask that you inform all your colleagues about this new facility that is available for them to use if they wish!

LGFL SMS and e-mail system

ITASS are pleased to announce the availability of LGFL SMS and e-mail system which enables schools to send text messages to parents or guardians. The system working with your Sims attendance can send automatic absence alerts to parent/guardians mobile phones. This system is fully integrated with schools USO Services - For more information contact Clare Watson for a demo.

Audit: General Security Controls and Support

ITASS recently underwent an audit conducted by Deloittes the scope of which was to ‘review and assess whether ITASS service has implemented adequate and effective controls over the general IT security environment within the schools’ infrastructure’.

We have been working with our corporate colleagues to restore Newham Council intranet access for schools. This work has been completed and the system has also been developed for future use, which means that when further internal council systems are developed these will be able to be accessed in the same way.
